Growing up, I identified pinstripes with Kenya’s former Attorney General, Charles Njonjo. The Duke of Kabeteshire was the epitome of style, with his Saville Row, wide lapel pinstriped suits, worn with a matching waistcoat underneath. I wish today’s public figures would put in half the effort he used to put in in his image.

I am a big fan of experimenting with my outfits, and that is just how I came across this look. I never thought wearing a t-shirt with a suit would work for me , but boy was I wrong. Wearing a t-shirt gives your suit a dressed down vibe suitable for the weekend.
Remember when we were all young and care-free? When we wore the same colour from head to toe and loved being all matchy-matchy and we didn’t care what others thought? Good times… Eh?
Well, I’m here to tell you that you can still wear the same colour and not end up looking like a drunk baby (Think Telletubies). The secret is in the execution.
